My best friend of 40 plus years and I love to travel to Chicago from Ann Arbor, Michigan. We have stayed at a variety of hotels in the city. After staying at The Seneca, we decided that we had found our perfect spot. We love to got to the theater, shop and just get away from home to read, talk and relax. The Seneca provided us with all our needs and more. We found that the location was wonderful. The room was very clean and spacious and the kitchen allowed us to have some meals in our room. This was great, because we have different eating schedules and preferences and we always enjoy our restaurant leftovers heated up. We were so comfortable we didn't want to leave the hotel. However, when we did, we were close to wherever we wanted to go. Next month my friend is bringing her niece to The Seneca to celebrate her birthday. They will certainly be crossing the street to The American Girl store, going to the Navy Pier and enjoying the accomodations. I will be staying there soon with my husband to celebrate a special occasion. It is a big compliment to any establishment when they have regular repeat customers choosing to stay at their hotel, especially in a city like Chicago with so many options. I can't wait for my return visit.

Close to public transit as well as Lake Michigan. I ended up with a King-size bed suite instead of the 2 double bed setup that I had requested, which to some may have been an upgrade. The suite with a kitchen and living room was very nice for a week's stay, but I would have preferred the 2 double beds room for platonic friends sharing a room. Other than that, the hotel was great. There's a restuarant in the basement of the hotel that was nice for breakfast and the bus is only a couple blocks away as is the main st: Michigan Ave where all the fancy stores are located. There's also a very small gym located on the top floor.
