I stumbled into the hotel lobby at 10:30 pm, dead tired after long flight delays along with 2 family members that weren't part of my original plans. I wanted nothing more than a hot shower and a nice bed.The gentleman at the front desk, Kamil, gave me a brief smile, welcomed me to the Beacon Hotel and asked my name. In what seemed like 30 seconds, I had room keys, several brochures to restaurants that delivered (the nice hotel restaurant was closing as we entered the lobby) and an upgrade to a clean, spacious room fit for the three of us. He had anticipated all my needs without me having to ask. Several hot showers and a few days later, I checked out, very pleased with my stay and willing to do it all over again.

Stayed at this hotel with my family from Ohio in Feb 2012. We stayed in the One bedroom suite. The view was the best. Was upgraded for $30 a night. I love everything from the stuff to the room to the Bar. Weekend brunch was awesome.

you can hear the furnace all night long. And the doorman was just sitting there watching tv instead of helping opening the door. he never got up for anyone, but everytime we enter and exit the hotel he just stared. this hotel was great when I first stayed but has slacked over time.

I would probably stay in this hotel again if there isn't any other option. However, its location is considered quite convenient, easy access to main attractions in DC. Hotel staff was average, room was tidy and neat. It took a long time for them to make up the room, short of room service staff.
