This was my 3rd visit to this hotel in 4 years, with sister and girl friends, but I don't think I will return again. Rooms were not well cleaned- they came to clean about 8 am every day (seriously?!) and sometimes never came back, even though we left for the pool by 9am to get a chair before they're taken. Unacceptable for a hotel of this price. Walls in the room are very thin, wasn't a problem for us but some families might mind given the number of parties going on. The pools and beach are the main attraction, but they are not being given ample attention these days to enhance the experience. Pool restrooms get heavy usage and were not cleaned throughout the day. Lounge cushions have been replaced in recent years but don't look as classy as the all white previous ones. In the past, wait staff have come around the pool with drink samples or fruit in the early afternoon to refresh patrons and whet your appetite for a drink, but that does not seem to be done anymore. The restaurant by the beach no longer serves a different menu than the very limited poolside bar menu, and is closed early. How about things like guacamole/salsa and chips? The pool bars all close at 4 and the pools clear out, instead of having a happy hour in the nice time of the day when things have cooled off. I don't go to San Juan to sit inside at stuffy mediocre restaurant when I can be enjoying the sunshine! I would think a lot more money would be made if there were outdoor dining options for late afternoon and dinner at this hotel. MANY more kids this year than on previous visits, so maybe the hotel is aiming at a different clientele. Still saw several bachelor and bachelorette parties, and the late night (cheesy) dance club on premise is good to have for variety of activities. We did eat dinner at KOCO one night and it was very good, and the Italian gallery trattoria was surprisingly good for lunch with great big salads and good pizza, a decent value for lunch especially since it's big enough to share. Around San Juan- we also had a fantastic dinner at Marmalade. Best meal was at Pikayo several years ago. Pamela's was great in past years but disappointing this time around. Budatai just okay, didn't live up to the hype. A visit to the bar (and snacks from the bar menu) at La Cancha is worth a trip! I will consider staying there next time, close to other restaurants and a much more trendy vibe. Beautiful pools and garden/pool restaurant with live music.

We had a great overall experience at this hotel. It's located about 2 minutes from the San Juan airport which really helped to jump start our sun time! The front desk and concierge staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and restaurant reservations. The lobby is beautiful, but cocktails were super expensive at the lobby bars. They had awesome live salsa bands on the weekend nights. Great people watching! Our room was a good size, clean, with modern decor. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was a little tight for two people to get ready at the same time. The tissue paper had a funky smell to it and the hair dryer was weak. Water pressure was pretty good in the shower. The pool area was impressive with three tropical pools and plenty of cushy chairs to lay out on. But get there early on the weekend...people seemed to save spots with their towels the night before on the chairs near the pool bar. But there is plenty of room on the beach! Drinks at the pool bar are pricey too, but i recommend the mojitos! The food from the pool menu was tasty. We had the breakfast buffet each morning at la Terraza. It was a pretty good spread with an omelet station, too. We also dined at Koco restaurant in the lobby which was wonderful. Yamato, the sushi and teppan yaki restaurant was also very good. We had a great time at this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Had a great time here. The night club was great. Plus I lost my ID there and to my surprise they held on to it for me! Thank god! The pool area was nice although the bar in the pool was never open, the area was great for exploring. Nice private hot tubs. Room was clean and pretty but freeeezing no matter what I did. Very convenient location. I was unhappy when we arrived after check in time and our room was not ready but they did fix. Plus the couple that we were with got i fruit and cheese platter in there room and we did not. It wasnt a make it or break it kind of thing though. The beach was mint and has lots of activities right there! We went jet skiing, and parasailing and right up the street rented scooters. To top it all off when we were staying there they were also filming Fast and Furious five! So cool!We got to take pictures right outside our hotel with Tego Calderon and Don Omar and watch them film and see there cars! So if the hotel is movie worthy, its definately worth a stay! Had a great time!

Perfect vacation place for short stay.. Its definitely a vacation stay.. Party scene from Thursday thru Saturday.. Has a club that's rocking everyone of those nights.. The night life is amazing as well.. The only problem with the place is that the rooms walls are very thin. You can pretty much hear everything.. but he if your there to party then it shouldn't be a problem...
