we stayed at Midtown 5 times as our student attends college down the street. we are done, although it is good value it is getting seedier and seedier. this time the beds were made with top sheets only...nasty, would not stay tucked in...noise is always a factor as groups of kids frequent this hotel...if you want a cheap hostel experience - go for it . we are ready to pay more for quality and quiet. Woman at front desk is consistently rude..boys are nice.

The Mid Town is very conveniently located in the Back Bay section of Boston. Subway access was close by. The area was safe. The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful: outstanding, actually! The room was small, carpet shabby and door/hallways dim and in need of paint. However, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom roomy. We appreciated the hairdryer, coffee/tea, and usual soaps. Room was clean and quiet. A good value for mid priced downtown hotel. Would have like to have free wireless available.

This place was weird. It was like I stepped back into 1963. I expected to turn on the TV and see John F. Kennedy. This place is extremely conveniently located - a 2 minute walk to the Prudential Center and the Pru T- stop (also a half block from the Symphony station) but not many amenities. No restaurant or bar. Room was pretty lame - no refrigerator. I had a nice view out my window of the parking garage. Toilet had to be fixed twice during my one week stay. Both beds in my room were decidedly slanted so that I rolled downhill into my wife. Weird. Again, location is excellent. And it's cheap. The front desk staff, though was friendly and VERY helpful. They have on-site parking but it will cost you $ a night.

My overall experience was horrible. I was there for a conference. My flight was late. I called to let them know. When I arrive the front desk person gave me no information about what services were available at the hotel. I was hungry and wanted a meal when I called for room service, I was told they had none but I could call for a delivery. When I called to order none of the places listed delivered. It was about 8PM and I had to walk several blocks to get a small meal. My room was in the rear of the hotel and I was offered no assistance inspite of telling them I had spinal surgery and could not lift.
When I checked out they told me they had 24 hour bell serviice. The room was uncomfortable and in poor repair. The only thing they did was drop the bill off under my door.
I have lodge a complaint through Orbitz and the hotel survey with not response. I would like to make other people aware of the poor quality at $129 per night.
