The hotel is 5 minutes away (walking) from the convention center, next to restaurants and a big shopping mall. The room is clean and good size, staffs are very friendly. I search online and this is one of the least expensive hotel in the area with good reviews. I would definitely recommended to anyone who are looking for a reasonable priced hotel in San Diego.

The Bristol is very centrally located, nearby Horton Plaza outdoor shopping mall and Gaslamp District. Close to the Embarcadero and easy access to I-5 and 163. The hotel is clean and well-maintained. Rooms are delightful. Staff is friendly and accommodating. You may notice some street noise if you have a room facing the street, so ask for a higher floor or away from street if this bothers you. Parking is a little outrageous at $*/day.

My sister, sister-in-law, and I stayed at The Bristol on a recent stay in San Diego. We were all very impressed with the decor and size of the lobby as well as with the quality of art displayed. The hotel staff couldn't have been friendlier. Upon check-in, our host quickly took care of our room and informed us that he had chosen to put us on the 6th floor facing the marina so we could get a bit of a view. He said, however, if for any reason the street noise was a problem, to let him know immediately and he would promptly move us to the other, more quiet side of the hall. Now that's service. The location was good-just a few blocks from the bustle of the Gas Lamp District. But it was also across the street from the Greyhound station. If street/bus noise bothers you, request a room on the other side of the hall. The beds were divine and the size of the room was nice. The bathroom was nicely appointed but could have used better lighting. Adequate gym with enough equipment to get in a good weight work-out. A huge bonus was the free apples available each day and night for guests. The apples saved us more than once when we would find ourselves famished during our sightseeing. We would definitely return to this hotel again.

We spent 5 nights at The Bristol Hotel in San Diego in March, 2010. We were there for our sons wedding and it was the perfect place to stay for all our family and friends. The location to downtown attractions, restaurants, and shopping was great but it was the staff and very comfortable rooms we all loved. They have done a great job of providing what you need for a relaxing stay in San Diego. We hosted a "welcome dinner" in their ballroom on the 9th floor. There is a retractable roof that they opened during the evening which was awesome and the food was delicious. If you are going to San Diego and want a great place to stay that is reasonable and feels like home, treat yourself at The Bristol.
