We stayed here 3 nights while visiting area recreational sites (Tunnel Hill bike trail, Garden of the Gods, Giant City State Park and Fern Clyffe State Park). The hotel was very clean, updated and comfortable. There is a fridge/microwave and flat screen in all rooms. Staff kept our room immaculate every day. There is a typical breakfast bar (Carol, the nice breakfast lady kept it well supplied). If you want more, there is a Cracker Barrel next door. Highly recommend Bennie's Italian Restaurant in Marion and the chicken dinner at Giant City State Park! Overall, this is a great value for the money, great location, and we will stay here again.

We were pleased with the key location of the Holiday Inn in the elbow of Hwys. 13 and 56. Since the highway is elevated, and the hotel well-constructed, there was practically no noise at all. Good food, as always. Laundry room came in handy. Nice computer nitch in the main lobby. Good size glassed-in pool at one end. The room was typical. The tub was solidly constructed and slightly raised. The shower head was a welcome relief. We had a few problems with wireless internet, but tracked it to the virus program, rather than HIE. The only other glitch occurred when the hotel computer turned off our room key, but one trip solved the dilemma. We're looking forward to our next trip to Marion.
