Fairly self-contained property with several restaurant choices on the grounds, as well as poolside All-You-Can eat BBQ when we went during summer. Sunday brunch outstanding (thank you omelet chef lady). Room was clean and spacious. Pools - choose one of several, ride the waterslide, or relax at a quiet pool (sans kids). Very family friendly, but there are also adult areas. Due to layout, rooms not poolside are nice & quiet. I would recommend this property to friends and family. It is also quite lovely for a wedding and reception. We will return.

From the moment we checked in - frazzled, exhausted and luggage-less even tho it was only 9 a.m. - the employees of this resort exceeded our expectations. We had been told when I called a few days earlier that we probably could NOT get an early check-in, since the resort was at 100% capacity, but when I went to the front desk to see if they could store our one little suitcase that had made it, they asked if we wouldn't rather get settled in a room, because they had one already made up and waiting. It was a nice one too, on a corner not too far 'up the hill' (important if you intend to walk everywhere - this place is STEEP!). We gratefully got settled and then headed to the water park. There we met Alan, who took us under his wing and gave us a grand tour of the place, tipping us off to the least crowded hot tub, best sunning chairs, etc. He continued to watch for us the entire time we were there, always coming over with a smile to see if we needed anything. The rest of the employees were equally sweet and helpful: recommending restaurants, hiking destinations, warning about scorpions, etc. (We never saw any scorpions, much to my daughter's chagrin!) Besides the high quality of the staff, the premises are very nice. The rooms are nice, with comfortable beds - altho for 'suites', they are not huge. You can take advantage of the shuttle if your room is further away. Everything is clean, the lobby is impressive, there is a Starbucks for quick breakfast items, but the highlight for all of us was the water park. It is an oasis by day and magical by night, with lights wrapped around all of the palm trees. We also enjoyed the ability to hike National Park trails right out of the resort. The food in the various restaurants is very good: by the pool it is just OK (besides the refreshing smoothies, which are great), but the Pointe in Tyme restaurant had fabulous food at very reasonable prices. We hiked up to the Different Pointe of View restaurant and admired the building, but did not eat there. There is a lot to do here - even an extensive gift store - and we spent most of our five days right there at the resort. There is even a fresh herb garden which is fun to wander thru (and we might have picked a few rosemary sprigs to put in our own olive oil!). If you want a relaxing destination that has it all, this is your place. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Phoenix.

The Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort was more than what I expected for my graduation trip from the University of Phoenix. The resort was within perfect distance from the airport, Cardinal Stadium, and downtown Phoenix. The resort had a family atmosphere but yet a romantic feel. The kids played and the adults relaxed; I can not wait to be get back. My trip was short but it was not because of the resort; next time I will plan a longer stay as the resort had me feeling like a cow eating hay. Five Stars for Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort you all have my support.

Hotel is huge! It is a great property, had wonderful staff, a couple of the restaurants were closed but the one that was open was great! Easy check in/out. Room was clean, and well stocked. Several pools and waterfalls. Would definitely return!
