I went through a couple of issues where I may have had to cancel my trip, but boy am I glad I went. My teenage daughter and I fell in love with this place. The ambiance, majestic mountain views the waterfalls on the grounds, the wonderful staff, the multiple pools and the roomy and very comfy suite. I could not have asked for a better place to stay to enjoy the gorgeous views of Phoenix. Especially while dining at the Pointe in Tyme restaurant during sunset with its stunning views atop the mountain overlooking the surrounding North Mountains and the city itself. If I ever go back to Phoenix, and I just might, i would definitely stay here again.

  • Awesome and polite employees!

The views alone are a great reason to stay here but the hospitality and accommodations. Our room was clean and very comfortable and the staff made sure to extend every possible courtesy.  I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I took our 3 young childrtheron the point for a staycation. First, there are very steep hills everywhere, not good for stroller pushing. Next, The pool was infested with bees. Lots of bees. We tried to eat at the outside bar and the table was attacked with bees. When we tried to move the kids to the actual bar stools to sit because there were fans we were told kids can't sit at  the bar.  When we asked if the bees were normal we were told yes. Sorry, we live here and this is not normal. But the beer was good.... Last, We had dinner in a restaurant at the hotel. The service was awful and the food took forever. You would think that with young children they would try to get us out quickly. I would not recommend this hotel for a vacaction especially with kids.

Carved into the mountain, this resort is very attractive.  The rooms are clean and large enough.  Sometimes the cable works and sometimes not.  And don't open the mini-bar unless you need to use it.  We used it for refrigeration purposes only and took nothing, but got charged anyway for products we didn't use; the matter was resolved.  Parking is terrible and very dangerously narrow, going down one way streets, up and down the mountain.  The food at the resort was good, but plan on spending your more than fair share.  The pools were clean, also, and the golf course was green and undulating.  Be careful at night, however...one night, upon leaving the room, we encountered a mother raccoon and her four babies outside our door and we couldn't leave for awhile till they left.   Overall, a nice play to stay...I just don't know if I will be back.
