We have been to Italy, France, Scotland and Great Britain. So we are bit experienced in overseas traveling. We recently stayed here for 10 nights. The staff is very friendly and it is within walking distance to every major tourist spot in the city. Kensington Palace is a 5 minute walk. We walked to/from our hotel to the Tower of London, might not be an ideal walk for older travelers but it is doable. The cons: no free wifi. the in house restaurants were ok at best, I would have liked more variety, but the prices are reasonable. The beds were not good. But for a European Hotel, I guess they sufficed. The pros: great staff. Not a single rude person, they all seemed genuinely interested in helping us in any way. Very close to all major spots. We only needed a taxi once, to take us to Kings Cross, and that was because we had brought some luggage for a quick trip to Edinburgh. All in all this is a great hotel for both first time UK visitors and more seasoned visitors. We will stay here again.

My husband & I are Brits but now live in the US but come over annually to visit family & friends. We decided to spend a night in London and know that hotels are not always what they say. Copthorne Tara Hotel was the exception. Elegant reception area, clean, welcoming and helpful staff. Even with a walking stick, close enough to walk to the tube. Beds were clean and comfortable. All facilities were spotless. We will definitely stay there again probably for longer next time. Excellent value.

We were looking for a nice Hotel in London for a one night stay before a trip on the EuroStar to Paris. This Hotel looked pretty good online so we booked there. In the Kensington area but not much happening after business hours. Found one restaurant close by (Thai, which was excellent). The Hotel bar and restaurants looked dull and uncomfortable. The Hotel lobby was bright and busy and the staff very friendly and helpful. Upon check in we were happy so far with our choice. However, our room was very plain with awful, cheap looking furniture, very miserable. It was clean but not pristine. For a one night stay I guess it was fine but I would have not been happy had we booked more than one night here. We would not go again.

I had a great experience at the copthorne tara. The room i reserved was clean and very comfortable. I was actually expecting a much smaller room and was pleasantly surprised by its size. It wasn't massive, but two people could move around freely in the room without feeling too cramped. The hotel staff was very friendly and the check in and check out process went smoothly. I forgot my plug adapter for my phone and they provided one for me. I also had trouble connecting to the wifi, so they gave it to me free of charge! Overall, the hotel was clean and in a great location. It's literally around the corner from a tube station which will easily get you to London's many attractions. I'd gladly stay there again. The one con was the hotel was a bit pricey in US dollars, but it's London, so what can you expect?
