    Overall, this was a good hotel and we had a great stay. My only concerns are minor. The bar closed a half hour early one night and we had to change plans. Sometimes the back door to the building would be open and sometimes it would be locked (even during business hours) so I never knew which way I should try to come in. There were never any towels in the fitness room, but that's not my problem, it's the problem of the hotel cleaning staff that has to clean up my sweat. And the walls are pretty thin, I could often hear the conversations from adjacent rooms.

    This was a wonderful place to stay. it is near the downtown loop area and also close to attractions. hotel staff and restaurants were also excellent.

    I most certainly would stay there again. close to everything downtown and within either walking distance or bus stops. cabs were always available at the door.

    The Holiday Inn Mart Chicago was disappointing. The hotel reeked of mildew. I requested a city view and got a view of a couple of condo buildings and a broken bridge that was nothing like the one I expected from the pictures on the website. The cleaning staff did a terrible job of cleaning the room and the reception staff was not very friendly or helpful. The location was ok but not optimal for the site seeing we planned.

    Good downtown location. huge pool! we were disappointed that there was no hot tub, but overall a great stay. would definately stay again.
