Great location a block away from the Magneficent Mile and near many major Chicago landmarks. It is also in walking distance of the Red Line Metro station so that adds to the convenience of getting around the city of Chicago. One negative was that when I was given my original room the room had not been cleaned but the staff apologized for the problem and gave me another room with no issue/ Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean I wish the bathtub was a little larger but that is just a personal preference no reflection on how nice the hotel is.

Kept getting locked out of one of our rooms

We liked the hotel very much and the location is excellent. The bed was comfortable and the price was great. We booked two rooms and we kept getting locked out of one of the room because for some inexplicable reason the computer kept resetting the lock. It was annoying because the hotel staff would not open the room for us and yet insisted that we needed identification to get the lock reset which was in the locked room we couldn't get into!!! One time we were locked out at 11:30 at night and the desk clerk was actually rude to us and our kids, like we were bothering her. Not cool. But other than the key thing on the one room, we liked the place.

I have been to Chicago several times and stay some place new each time to see whats best. In September 2010 I stayed at the Doubletree Magnificent Mile. I was happy with the location and the price during my stay. When we arrived #40very early in the morning#41 our room was already ready so we went straight to our room to relax after our early morning flight. We received cookies upon check-in which was a nice touch. The room was nice and we had somewhat of a view of Lake Michigan and the John Hancock Tower. Overall the best thing about the hotel was the easy use of transportation from the hotel. CTA stops right outside of the hotel so it was very easy to get to Michigan Avenue and to the OHare airport. The beds were absolutely amazing and I would love to have the bed which I slept on in my house. I will be staying at the Doubletree Magnificant Mile on my future trips to the windy city. I did not have any problems and I thought the servics offered were fantastic. I did not use the pool or the exercise room so Im not sure what additional fees would have been accured if any. Overall very pleased.
