Spent 3 nights there Feb 2012, have stayed there several times in the past. Excellent restaurant for breakfast and dinner, large room, very nice King bed, good heater, reasonable prices, free internet in the lobby, safe area and easy access to magnificent mile. "Disabled room" ... has large walk-in shower.

Customer service since the moment you walk in is great. They are happy that you are being a guest at their hotel. they make you feel really welcome. Pablo at the front desk is the man and his courteous personality made everything smooth and pleasant. I cannot complaint about my stayed there. The North view of the hotel is amazing. The location is perfect! $14 bucks taxi ride to the museum campus is the most you would pay. Walking distance to everything! 7eleven, liquor shop, and pharmacy a block away. Rush street and Michigan ave are 2 blocks away. I am definitely recommending this hotel and visiting next time i go to Chicago.

We LOVE to stay at the DoubleTree on Ohio St. in Chicago and stay there every few months when in town for Chicago Youth Symphony events or just for fun. Parking (although never cheap in Chicago) is reasonable and convenient. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The Concierge was most helpful in recommending a wonderful authentic Thia restaurant within walking distance of the hotel! My only complaint is that there are NO vending machines in the hotel at all. So BYO drinks because the in room frig-bar is outrageously priced with little variety.

This hotel is in a great location. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The beds were comfortable and there were good shower heads with great pressure. It was convenient that there is a cafe for coffee right in the lobby, if you are not ready for breakfast in the Marketplace. We were slightly inconvenienced by a non-working ice machine and the TV reception going out for a day.

The hotel is wonderful and the location is prime. I gave them low marks for cleanliness because there was a sewer rupture in the basement, and less than urgent reaction to it, not because the rooms were not clean. The fact that lodgers have to pay to go online and to use swimming pool does not sit well with me as well.
