This was our second time staying at this doubletree. This hotel is located a few blocks from the mile very convenient to all your shopping needs and great restaurants. Did I mention that they give out fresh warm choc chip cookies daily. Great stay.

This hotel made our first trip to Chicago a memorable experience. It is set within walking distance of the Mag Mile and several attractions such as Navy Pier and John Hancock so you could easily walk most anywhere with the exception of the museum campus, which was a bit further south. Parking is a bit steep at the hotel, but it includes unlimited in-out privileges - if you know you won't be moving your vehicle throughout your stay, you could always park at the garage next door for considerably less. There's plenty of good eating within a mile or so (Gino's East, Pizanno's, etc.) and even more if you are willing to walk a bit further. TIP: If you want a night in, a lot of the sub and pizza shops will deliver! As a bonus, there's an Einstein's cafe in the hotel and several other cafe's around the area - when we stayed, they were running a promotion where they'll give you an $8 voucher for Einstein's for each day you turn down cleaning service! As long as you pick up after yourself, it's a good way to earn (in a way) free breakfast. There's also a nice pub across the street (Timothy O'Toole's) that has over a hundred different types of beer on hand and has pretty decent food and prices -talk to hotel concierge before you go and they may have discounts available. The hotel staff were all knowledgeable about the area and incredibly friendly - we really felt welcome during our stay. The hotel pool was up on the 5th floor so you get a pretty nice view of the streets below and we could kind of see the fireworks show they do every Wednesday at Navy Pier (there was a building in front of most of the action, but it wasn't too bad.) The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning was running constantly and barely kept us to 72°F - we were on the 18th floor, so I imagine that's most of it. If you like it cooler, try for lower floors (our friends were in 11th and had no problem getting down to 65°F). All-in-all, I was amazed at the quality we got for the price. We will definitely be sticking with Doubletree for our next visit!

This hotel is at a great location to access what downtown Chicago has to offer. Most within walking distance. Plenty of tours available. Great dining nearby. Short distance from airports and train service. Lots of taxi service available. Smoking rooms available which was a plus for my niece. No need to go outside at all hours of the day. I have already recommended this hotel to several people and would definitely book again on a return trip to Chicago.

This hotel was in a good location, just two blocks from the Magnificant Mile. The rooms were very nice, clean and beds were awesomely comfortable. My only minor comment is that the inside hallways and lobby could use a little upgrading.
