Overall the hotel was pretty good. The beds weren't the best, but the room was very clean and the front desk staff was very polite. They offered the best look for the hotel. I loved that we got welcome drinks! After we got our first drink on the house we stayed for a few more, but the bar seemed a little drousy. The bartender was late,wasnt very interested in much more than smoking, talking to her friend, or playing with her phone, but the drinks were decent. There was no cook the day I was there so it was a little disappointing that we couldn't order food. The pool looked reall nice but unfortunatwly we didn't have time to swim. The hotel was really close to the highway and just a few minutes from the beach. Overall this hotel was a good deal.

The Universal Plams was a great surprise. Having intentionally booked a room in a lower price range our whole party was thrilled with the value for the dollar. The service was never short of fantastic and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Had one group member staying in an outer room who said he could hear the train, but the rest of us never noticed it. I never regretted not spending more to stay near the convention center. Would definitely go back!!!

The room was fine. I just didnt like the fact that the air was set at a temp control so it would turn off every time it would hit a certain temp. The room was clean and the hotel was very nice. Definitely would stay here again.

the hotel staff werent very nice. the only place i experienced great service was in the restaurant. Good food and reall ynice wait staff. Ray the the front desk was very sracastic and uniterested in our issues and the cleaning staff was very slow to clean your room. they rushed you out of the hotel on the day of checkout & were very rude if you stayed even 10 min past the check out time. The location of the the hotel was great from the airport but next tiem aroudn I will definitely be spending a few more $$ and staying in downtown ft. lauderdale.
