Nothing special about this hotel. the best feature is that it's close to things to do in boston but not quite boston rates for a hotel.

Nice staff, location is good if you need to get to say, Fenway, but otherwise the hotel is poorly designed and aging. My room was located across the pool and very musty. I could hear everyone making noise in the pool area. Not a horrible room but very below average in my opinion for what you pay.

  • A good hotel in a neighborhood, versus in the downtown/business area.

We have stayed here every time we come up to go to a Red Sox game. It's a relatively small hotel, just across the street from the "T" subway at the St. Paul stop--just 4-5 stops away from Fenway Park. You do not have to rent a car to explore the best parts of Boston; easy shuttle bus from the airport to the T. Big plus is the indoor pool and spa to unwind, and a new life-size chess board (replaced the indoor mini-golf). Breakfast is $13 for hot, $10 for cold, and there is no Boston Globe newspaper stand out front in which to read the news at breakfast; Mom-Fri they supply USA Today. Also, there are two Fox TV stations, but NO MSNBC; a plus was HBO--was able to watch Bill Maher on Friday. We will stay here again, but have sent feed back to the hotel regarding these issues.

  • Great value for family trip to Boston.
