- Cancellations or Modifications, unless otherwise stated, must be made 72-hours prior to arrival by 4pm hotel time in order to avoid a one-nights room rate and applicable taxes penalty payment. Deposits are refundable if you cancel within your cancellation window. If No Show occurs, you will be charged for one nights room rate plus applicable taxes. Reservations are not transferable, and reservation name changes are not permitted.

11/19/2012Had an oceanfront room and loved it. hotel is convenient for most activiities and numerous restaurants. front desk was very friendly and helpful.

I was very disappointed with the room I booked at Westgate Myrtle Beach. When I arrived, they tried to charge me an amenity fee which I promptly refused to pay. I expected a room with two areas since I was travelling with two teenagers. The sleeping area and the bathroom were so small that I left the room while they showered and changed clothes. The fitness center was in a totally separate building, so I was somewhat uncomfortable letting my kids go there without going with them. The restaurant was advertised as a beachfront restaurant, but it was not. It was a $10.00 buffet which was not that good. I asked the staff if there was a separate restaurant, and she said that ad was out of date. The parking was so far away that I ended up using public parking instead of the hotel parking. On the upside, the view was beautiful. And it should have been because I paid extra to get it! There was beach access which was handy.

The hotel was convenient, clean and was well located on the beach. The staff was friendly but not overly excited about service. the hotel breakfast buffet was mediocre and the staff not very attentive except with keeping your coffee cup full. I would never recommend Myrltle Beach to anyone. I would say go on further down the beach unless you want to play miniature golf and eat at buffets.
