This hotel is quite expensive for what you get. The hotel and room are between acceptable and slightly shabby. But the service and amenities were weak. Not only is there no wifi or internet in the rooms, it costs 18 Euros/day just to use wifi in the lobby. There are two computers that one can use for free in the "business center," but one was broken. Several of the people at the front desk were surprisingly ill-informed. For example, one didn't know how long it would take to get to CDG, and had no idea what the train schedule was, or how to find it. I'd guess you're paying for the location, but the construction project directly in front of the hotel detracts from this.

I went to Paris for a week with my grandmother, mother, and aunt. I was a bit apprehensive because all four of us were going to share a room. I'd been to Paris several times before and the rooms are usually quite small. That was not the case with this hotel. The room was what you would expect for a room in the U.S. and we had plenty of space for four bags and four people. The staff was very friendly. Most, if not all, of them spoke English and were helpful in getting cabs and providing directions. The hotel was generally clean and had a pretty garden. The location of the hotel is excellent. It was relatively close to the Bastille and a number of major attractions such as the Georges Pompideu Center and Notre Dame. The nearby McDonalds offers free wi-fi so you don't have to pay at the hotel. There are a plethora of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. I felt safe walking around the area at night. We avoided the hotel restaurant simply because of the high prices, but that is really the only negative comment I have. The hotel is literally less than a block away from a Metro stop. I very rarely write reviews of hotels but I believe this one was well worth the money!

When booking tickets, make sure you know that standard room is one double bed. They accomodated a change of room but to something smaller and it took hours to wait. The check in person was not so friendly and seemed put-out. The room was super small and maids knock once and then just key into your room!! The only thing that saves the hotel is the concierge.....super super helpful on getting around Paris!!! They try to offer better "deals" through the hotel but don't do them - it won't make a difference.

The hotel itself was very nice, but the rooms were very small even by European standards. I had requested a king bed, and the bed was just a little larger than a full size. They did not put a top sheet on the bed, only a very heavy duvet. The a/c fan did not work, nor did the bathroom exhaust fan. Breakfast was not included, and we purchased one breakfast for 25 Euros each and it consisted of cold pancakes, bacon, beans, and a few pastries. Not worth the money for the food. But, the hotel overall was nice and very conveniently located to a Metro station.
