  I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms are kept very clean. I never once had a problem with the staff and when I asked for more towels and a new cofee machine, they were brought up to me right away. The hotel is also VERY close To Mission Beach and Sea World. There is no possible way of getting lost either coming or going from these locations to the hotel. I would definately stay at this hotel again and plan to next time I visit San Diego.

  We booked this hotel through a online travel website and after reading several bad reviews on other sites, decided to cancel well in advance. We were charged for one nights stay on my credit card. the online travel website says not their fault, contact the hotel. Hotel says they had us checked in and even assigned us a room#??? One month later and I am still dealing with a hotel manager named X who has never been available and never returned a phone call. T the online travel website says they cannot do anything for me that it is up to the hotel. When we did stay in San diego, we drove by this hotel. It is in a terrible neighborhood, surrounded by strip clubs and adult toy stores. I am very unhappy with the online travel website for not being accountable for a hotel they advertise on their site.

  We read previous reviews and found both bad and good. We stayed Aug 8 - 14, We were concerned when we first pulled up as the outside did not look good compared to the pics they posted. But our room and the lobby was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had one little trashcan, thats not gonna cut it. Parking is cramped but it was free and we always had a spot. It was close to everything we wanted to see, beach and Sea World a mile away, Zoo and Balboa park about 6 miles, downtown and Seaport Village about 4 miles. Good places to eat nearby, Du Pars in the hotel complex has very good food and friendly staff. Rib place across the street has a mile long line every night for a reason. Helpful hint to those of you going to any attraction, they have to give you tap water and a cup for free, you do not have to pay $3 for a little bottle of water. We did not learn that until last day.

  Probably one of the worst experiences ever. The rooms were old and smelly. The pool faces Baker's Square, so if you want to swim, everybody eating at Baker's Square can watch. The staff at the hotel was very nice.

  We booked through online travel website , but when we checked in they asked for our visa anyway; they said in case there were any extra charges. when we got home ...

  We booked through ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE , but when we checked in they asked for our visa anyway; they said in case there were any extra charges. When we got home we found they had charged us again for our room. So we had to go through the hassle of getting this taken off our visa bill. The first day they gave us plenty of toiletries and towels, but every day after that we had to keep asking for them. The rooms were nice, but the service was poor.
