Rooms were nice. Staff was excellent. Food was overpriced. Gift shop had some good deals. Able to walk everywhere - ghost tour, downtown, Fisherman's Wharf. Also, the cable car turnaround is right there. Excellent restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay in this hotel again!

Holiday Inn often gets a bad rap, but it is especially undeserved at this location. The entire staff was exceptionally courteous and professional. I opted to pay a few dollars more for a corner room, and was rewarded with the proverbial "room with a view" and what a view it was! Room service was surprisingly good, although I wish they served later than 10pm; it also would be a nice addition if room service for breakfast were available. However, plenty of places for food are available just around the corner. I'll definitely be staying at this hotel on my next visit to San Francisco.

The Holiday Inn Golden Gateway was a great place to stay once we got settled. It had a beautiful view that looked out into San Francisco and the entire city. Although because we were stuck in the middle of the city, parking was very difficult. We had to drive a way away to find a familiar restaurant. But because of these obstacles, the staff was very accomidating! The room was very cozy and well kept! Would definitely swing back through there if the price was right!
