  I enjoyed my stay at Larkspur, a small but well-managed hotel in Mill Valley. The Larkspur is a mere 20-minute walk (or 5 minute drive) from the center of the beautiful downtown Sausalito. The staff was always attentative and courteous, and the hotel very clean and pleasant. My room was a bit small but well-appointed with free Wi-Fi, flat panel TV, coffee maker, hair dryer and DVD player. The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool as well as a business center and gym. It also offers a well-rounded, complimentary breakfast in the main building as well as a full service (dinner) restaurant at the adjacent Il Frontaio. I usually stay at the Fairmont in San Francisco but this time I opted for this side of the Bridge to be closer to a friend from my childhood who lives in the area. All in all, a good experience and a great value.
