This historic hotel is elegant and comfortable. The gym was large and well equipped but there was a charge for the week. The in room computer center was a bust as there was a charge for the internet and the printer sends you all the way to the front desk and then failed. Overall a nice place but a bit pricey.

At booking, I did not know the significant history of this hotel. The hotel itself, is awash in a historical who's who of famous dignitaries and celebrities. The hotel's lobby contains many artifacts, photos, and firsts, capturing it in its hayday; which interests me greatly. Of course, that may not be enough to sway your opinion. But if you are curious about its hotel amentities, there are numerious. Be sure to ask for a renovated room, as the room was appropriated with all of the comforts of home, including all services rendered at a touch of a button. The room was decked in contemporary, yet elegant furniture, including a 42 inch flat screen television, touch screen interface, comfortable clean sheets, plenty of towels, and everything located where it should be. This hotel delivers on 4 star confort and convienience --the highlight of my stay in Chicago.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was a little crowded with 3 of us but we made do. Location was convenient to Red Line and there is lovely green space directly across the street from the hotel.
