Hotel Angelo was terrific. We chose it for its location - right in the heart of LA Live. And we knew it would be modern and clean because it is so new. But it was so much more. The enormous lobby was decked out for the holidays when we were there and the decorations were in keeping with the modern, spacious feel of the hotel while still being festive and unique. Our room was beautifully appointed with clean-lined furniture, flat-screen HD TV and a terrifically huge bathroom and shower with a rain fall shower head. The staff was nice and for the most part efficient. However, there was an instance where the staff did not live up to the hotel's high profile. The lone kid trying to make coffee drinks at the Illy restaurant in the lobby on Sunday morning was not well practiced and it took a very long time to get two simple drinks. He was joined by colleagues only after the long line had shortened. My husband, waiting at valet in our car for me to bring the drinks out, was told he would have to move or be charged parking fee!

02/07/2011I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at hotel angeleno. excellent service. nice restaurant and pool. only drawback was the location - too close to the freeway.

My brother, father and I stayed here when we came for the Rose Bowl. Great location, with everything close by. Beds were comfortable, restaurant and bar upstairs were great. Food was great. Overall, a great value for your money.
