We stayed for a weekend to sight-see, and the location was wonderful. In the middle of everything, and a nice view. We were put in the tower that is undergoing renovation, and were told at check-in that it could be noisy during the day. However, it was a weekend, and we were out all day anyway - so I don't know if it was noisy or not. The room was completely re-done, and we had a great time. The only complaint I have was the cost of parking - and I know that is expensive downtown.

I was staying in town for a few days for a photo shoot and loved the hotel so much, when my parents decided to come into town for a visit that same weekend, I recommended this same hotel to them (which is saying a lot, considering I'm not a huge fan of being that close to them in the first place!). The bed was so extremely comfortable, the location was perfect, the view over Lake Michigan and see Navy Pier was gorgeous, the lobby was beautiful but not over the top, the food for breakfast was expensive but hey, if that's the worst of it, I'll take it. I've been in my fair share of hotels in Chicago and this one is by far my favorite (over the Palmer House, Congress, Best Western, and River Hotel!).

I was happy overall with the quality of the room, the staff and the location. What I wasn't happy with was the noise. The rooms are not very soundproof, and there was a lot of "building noise" (AC, heaters, etc), that prevented me from sleeping well.

I have stayed here several times for various work functions and have always found it to be very clean and comfortable. The staff are professional and courteous. It is a tad on the pricey side, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I was very excited to be staying at a Hyatt thinking I was getting top of the line accomodations. I was quite dissapointed. The room was very run down and in need of updates. The hotel was really big so it felt cold and uninviting. The concierge was helpful when looking for restaurant recommendations and maps but other than that I didn't have any interaction with hotel staff. It was a fine place to stay the night but I don't think I'll be back.
