The hotel was in the middle of renovations, so there was dust and noise. The staff was courteous, helpful and apologetic of the necessary mess. The renovations, I am sure, are now complete. I would stay again given the opportunity.

My family and I traveled to Chicago for a gymnastics meet. The hotel was close enough to Michigan Ave to enjoy the stores and restaurants. The free breakfast is a must when traveling with family. The pool was also great for the kids, not too crowded. The price we got was well worth all the amenities and the proximity. However I don't think they are offering as good of a deal this year as they did last. Perhaps word got out on how good of a deal it was.

Excellent all the way around. Hotel breakfast excellent (included) with very little waiting. Front dest empoyees fell over backwards to assist me with anything I needed or wanted. Location, location, location; also excellent. Great heated indoor pool with jacuzzi. Much info. available on site as to what to do and how to get there. My daughter and I will be back.

My daughter and I stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites Chicago Downtown; Oct. 22-25.2010. I actually don't know where to begin, in describing the great experience we had. We parked next door-outside public parking for $* a day. We could go in and out of the parking lot. One day we went to the Alley store; at Clark and North Lincoln Streets. Cool stuff. You can park free while shopping there at the Dunkin Donut. There is a DSW shoe store nearby. Huge. We shopped at H&M and Old Navy also. Water tower place had lots of shopping to. Hit the sales. There were numerous places to eat. You have got to try the Rain Forest Cafe' at least once. Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered the ribs, steak and coconut shrimp platter- $*. Worth every dime. As far as the Hotel itself. LOCATION

I stayed here last week. I extended my stay after the first night for four days. I had a * rate. I was assured that the rate would stay the same. Staff: The poor marks for the staff are for the insulting tone the manager I spoke to used with me. The morning I checked out. The last night of my stay was billed at * vs * prepaid through the travel agency and extended by another manager. When I spoke to a manager when I checked out he said that the hotel was over sold which gave him the right to raise my rate without telling me,or giving me the opportunity to move out. Value for the money: Please note also thath the hotel adds $* per night for parking; the lot across the street charges $* the poor marks for cleanliness were for the insects...I was bitten eight times on the neck by something in the room, and on the leg by a red spider in the bathroom.
