  I expected for the Trump Plaza to be a little bit more Cleanliness. I also noticed that other Hotels that I visit they have flat screen TV and The Trump still have the old school broad back 19" Phillips.

  This hotel is very dated, and untidy in many of the common areas. After visiting the spa and pool areas there is no way I would ever consider using either. The area outside the spa has water stained ceiling tiles with visible mold on the tiles. The hallway leading to the pool was dirty, again unacceptable and most likely unsanitary. The doors and windows leading to the boardwalk and adjoining restaurants looked like they haven't been cleaned for a very long time. All and all very disappointing. Considering the name on the outside of the hotel, more was expected.

  I had reserved 2 rooms. Upon arrival, they were unable to locate my 2nd room. The front reception area associates were extremely helpful and were able to get me a 2nd room. Once inside the room, there were MULTIPLE carpet stains which was pretty gross. The toilet failed to flush and the phone didn't work to be able to call the front desk. I went to the adjoining room and used the phone in my friend's room to call downstairs. They came up immediately and fixed the problems. The a/c was less than adequate in my friends' room, but worked fine in my room. Oh well, we weren't there to spend time in the room, right? So we went down to the casino. It was sooooo outdated. The slot machines were very old style and not up to date at all. Overall not happy with the casino and the hotel room. Would not stay there again.

  Trump Plaza is the less gaudy of the Trump properties in Atlantic City but it has a lot going for it. The staff was very responsive when I asked for a high floor with an ocean view. The East Tower is very secure and safe - with a guard at the elevators and key access to the tower, elevators and rooms. Only a few minor quibbles. The bed wasn't all that comfy for me. The hotel widely advertised a breakfast buffet at the Beach Bar, but the signage failed to indicate that the Beach Bar didn't open until next week! The on-site cafe was fine, but nothing special.

  From the rust around the sink drain to the carpet you wouldn't walk on barefooted definitely puts this seedy place back in the 1980's when it was built. And that's just the room, the casino was no better…. dated, dated, dated. Try to find the restaurants, it’s not easy but the choice was, only one of the five ‘fine’ dining establishments was open. It should have been closed too as we waited 30 minutes to place our order and it arrived cold and tasteless in another half hour. We planned on staying 3 nights but one was more than enough.
