Stay here. It will meet your expectations and then some. It is affordable and super nice. Room was cozy and had a nice big shower and bathroom. We loved it- especially for the price. Have stayed at other $$$$$$ hotels in the area, will make it a point to stay here instead.

This review is for Hyatt on St. Clair in downtown Chicago (heading says Wyndham). We got in late (8pm) and the front desk guy upgraded our room for no extra charge - he was friendly, and our room was huge! No frills (fancy tub, spa, or room service) but it was a good, clean, basic hotel in a prime location. Unfortunately, the wi-fi was not free - which seems like a given these days. Parking was $54 a night, and we parked literally down the block for $35 in a ramp - had to carry our stuff a block but worth it I think. We asked for a room away from hospital since reviews said it was loud. Heard a few sirens, but nothing more than we do at home living in a popular urban area.

Good overall service. Pool and workout area could have been cleaner. I feel that it is ridiculous to charge guests $10.99 per day to have wireless internet connectivity in this day and age. Really felt like I was being nickel and dimed. Think my car may have been damaged in the valet, so make sure you check yours out thoroughly when you get it out.
