I treated my husband for his birthday the June 26. I booked a deluxe room with a king bed. When we arrived about 2:30 p.m., we were offered a room with two double beds. I wish I had asked for more info. I decided to wait for the king room. It was on the fifth floor, overlooking Sixth Avenue. It was quiet because the air conditioning was so loud nothing else could be heard over it! The fabric on the furniture was dirty and worn. The shower (there was no tub) just had a curtain and no lip to stop the water running onto the bathroom floor, which was stone and therefore quite dangerous when wet. We used the extra bath and face towels to stop the water from spreading. I really should have requested another room. The location is great, but I was terribly disappointed. : (

The location of the hotel couldn't be better. You are right in the centre of Manhattan and a block from 5th Avenue. The rooms were much larger than I expected and the staff extremely helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to any one else.
