    Having stayed at this hotel before, i knew that it was an older hotel. it was clean and well kept, though, and had all the things you need and expect ...

    Having stayed at this hotel before, I knew that it was an older hotel. It was clean and well kept, though, and had all the things you need and expect in a hotel room. What I didn't expect, though, was that the room with two double beds was actually two rooms with a bathroom in each.One had a shower and the other a tub. Each room had a flat panel TV in each. All this for only a small increase per night over a room I had stayed in previously that had only one bed.

    I stayed in the Wellington July 2010 and was so very pleasantly surprised! First off they unexpectedly upgraded our room to a deluxe thank god because we needed the space and that was one of my worries that the room would be too small for us. The staff was very nice and pleasant - Room service was very prompt. The location was so perfect! For never having been to NYC I really got lucky picking a great location for a Hotel. I would definitely stay again! The main reason we picked the Wellington was for the price and the website was very helpful with giving details about how close key attractions were to the hotel. Also the staff was very helpful with giving us directions to get around. OVerall - GREAT vacation at a GREAT hotel!

    I go to NYC often enough to know of a few good hotel options. This time I tried the secret room offering. Not a bad deal but I wouldn not have selected this hotel. Overall it was ok. It is in need of some serious updating. Pros - Great location, convenient to Times Square and Central Park.

    The Wellington Hotel's location was close to lots of restaurants, shopping and convenient to many sites. We were able to walk to most everything we wanted to do or see. A short and inexpensive taxi ride to the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway Shows and other sites when weather conditions were poor made our stay more enjoyable. The doormen at the Wellington were wonderful at hailing a cab ahead when we needed one.
