Good location and not much more
09/21/2012Midtown hotel with ideal location when in nyc for fun or work related issues. don't expect a modern room, fast elevators or free wifi for that matter though.

This is the perfect spot for a weekend trip to NYC. Perfect location, not far from Central Park or Times Square. Subway is right under the building, makes for easy commute to all of NYC. This hotel isn't modern, but it has classic charm. Very clean. Rooms are small, and it's unfortunate that they still have rooms with Full sized beds- they should upgrade to all King/Queen. HOWEVER, when I was told we had a full- I asked if there was anything bigger- and they upgraded us for free! We even checked in early! Fantastic staff, fantastic place!

Stayed at the Wellington 24-27 August 2012 and had a good experience. The hotel is in an excellent location, couple blocks from Times Square and Central Park, across the street from the Carnegie Deli. After reading past comments about how old the hotel,is, was pleasantly surprised with a wonderful room which included a seating area and small kitchen area. Bathroom was small but served its purpose. Would stay here again for sure!

The hotel was perfectly located. It had pretty, albeit very small, rooms with very small windows but decent views. Additionally, the wi-fi was not free but other than that and the size of the rooms the hotel was lovely.
