Price, through Travel agency in mid-December, was very good. Lobby is nice, service plentiful and helpful. Very good location. Upholstered parts of room quite dated. I'd stay here for the value again, but this is not a luxury hotel. You must pay for wi-fi.

This hotel was great, it had all my wife and I needed for an affordable hotel in Manhattan. It was clean, it was warm, everyone was very friendly and clear with us. It has a great location, you can get anywhere from here and a lot of options to eat around the corner. One of the three elevators was being fixed so we had to wait up to 15 minutes to get down once.

I will probably not use Travel Website. I do not agree with the 4-star review for the Wellington. The hotel is very old, the bathrooms are very tiny, the lobby was very out-dated with ragged furniture, and you must get ice from the bellman. There are no ice buckets in the rooms, or small coffee makers. The receptionists were very polite and kind, as were the bellmen. When you check-in, even with a small rolling bag, the bellman must take it to the room...it is policy. The "policy" of taking your rolling bag to your room is a joke...just for an extra tip...there was nothing to explain about the accomodations, because it was very sparce. To use a computer in the lobby to confirm reservations, you must use a credit card, or insert dollars, which is pretty ridiculous. The rooms are clean and warm, and it was a convenient location, but that is the only positive I can give it. I was very misled by Travel Website. Next time, I will make our own reservations at the Sheraton, where I know it is nice, and has a fantastic restaurant, and computer access. I am very disappointed with Travel Website, and will NEVER fly United again! ABC

The Wellington Hotel has a excellent location. It is close to everything. Subway located next to the hotel, you can take the subway to Times Square and get anywhere. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The watrer pressure in the shower was outstanding. The beds were awesome very very comfortable. We never had a problem with anything while we were there. We stayed the week after thanksgiving. The staff at the hotel went out of there way to help us with anything frow check-in to directions. What a wonderful vacation. Thank you to everyone at the Wellington that made our vacation beyond our expectations.

The four days that we spent in Manhattan were wonderful and the hotel was definitely part of that experience. Not that we spent any length of time in the room except for a Thanksgiving afternoon nap, the location was unbelievably acessible to everywhere we wanted to go in Manhatten, the theaters, Rockfellor Center, shopping on 5th Avenue, Times-Square, Carnegie Deli and other 24 hour eateries, as well as s subway station. The hotel staff were very personable and helpful with all of our questions and genuinely seemed concerned about our safety. Checking out on our final day, we were able to store our luggage and take advantage of the rest of our time in the city. The accommodations were very clean and updated. As an European-style hotel, the hallways were small as were the rooms, but certainly nothing to impact our stay. And the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade right outside the front door -- the icing on the cake!
