Ultimately, I have stayed in Days Inns and Super 8's that were nicer. Facilities, rooms, and furnishings were old and dilapidated, and the bed was really uncomfortable. Honestly, I was very disappointed with my stay at the Wellington.

I stayed on a very quick visit to New York, checked in and out less than 10 hours total. My room was perfectly nice. Everything I needed. Comfortable bed and furnishings. The location was perfect. Easy walk to Central Park or Times Square. Subway stop right at the corner. And Carnegie Deli across the street. And the price was half or less than other hotels in the vicinity.

The Wellington Hotel was like a trip down memory lane to the glory days of Manhattan. It was the 1950's - we almost expected the Rat Pack to show up and entertain us in the lobby. From the art deco style to the wonderful diner off the lobby, The Wellington delivered. The location is perfect, walking distance to Times Square and the finest Broadway theatres. The hotel and the small elevators were often crowded, and many of the guests were European and Asian. This seemed to enhance the ambience and old world charm of the place. The room was reasonably spacious in comparison to other older hotels we've stayed at in NYC. The furnishings were very well kept and comfortable, the room itself and the bath were spotless, and we even had a nice view downtown. All of that, and the price was right - we highly recommend The Wellington.

  • My stay at the Welling was very enjoyable and met all of my needs.

The rooms at the Wellington were very economical and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Such a convenient hotel at a good price. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The plumbing was a little noisy but not enough to bother me.
