    1st standard room we were given the window would not close and the duct tape they applied would not stick [lots of street noise and cold air]. 2nd room we ...

    1st standard room we were given the window would not close and the duct tape they applied would not stick [lots of street noise and cold air]. 2nd room we got [after complaining] was so small that there was not a towel bar in the bathroom for hand towels. I could get a better room at a Super 8 for a lot less money!!!

    The Wellington's location was absolutely perfect. We were just a few short blocks from Central Park and also right near some of the subway lines to get downtown quickly and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The room size was great and we even had a little kitchenette area. There's a wonderful restaurant in the hotel right off the lobby that had the best coffee and doughnuts I've ever had. We truly enjoyed our stay! The staff were okay. I did see them have an interaction with a couple who didn't speak English very well trying to tell the lady at the front desk that they were having trouble communicating with the bellhops, who also didn't speak English very well, about their luggage and the lady at the front desk simply said I can't help you regarding your luggage, you'll have to try and communicate with the bellhop. I was disappointed by this and thought she should have gotten a manager or a supervisor or something because they deserved to be treated better than that.

    Like I mentioned before the overall service was very good ! We were pleasantly surprised to find two rooms in what was supposed to be a double occupancy room. I wasn't to enthused about the food but not everything can ever be perfect and yes ! I would like to come back and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
