It's half way between Central Park and Times Square so it's perfect for tourists. For its location, the prices are great. But it's not fancy or anything so definetly for travellers on a budget that want to stay near the action.

When we arrived, our checkin was somewhat slow, however, it was a busy time. We arrived early and so had expected to check our bags and wait until later in the day to move into our rooms. But the staff was very accomodating and found us a room immediately. Overall the hotel staff was courteous and the concierge was helpful with information about the city. Our room was clean upon arrival and well kept daily. The price was the best we could find, related to its proximity to Times Square. I would stay at the Wellington again, when back in NYC.

The good news is that the hotel has a very good location and very helpful staff--the not good news was the very small room, the very, very soft bed and the kitchen smells that wafted into the room around 2:00 am every morning. This combination made for poor sleep every night and that was, most definitely, bad news!!
