The bathroom is a tad bit small however the room was great for the size. We had a king size bed, a couch, tv and a enormous closet. Great stay for a one night trip into the city! Plus, it is right across the street from Carnegie Deli!

Location, location, location! The Wellington is in an excellent location and within easy walking distance of many of the venues that one might want to visit while in NYC, venues such as Times Square, Central Park, etc. Although we were in a busy area of NYC we had no issues with outside noise. The rooms are a little outdated, and could be considered small, but they are clean and comfortable. The bedding, towels and bathroom were all very clean and we had no issues with a lack of hot water or water pressure during our stay. The valet parking was very efficient and the price for parking was quite reasonable considering we were in NYC. The hotel does suggest that you call for your car about 1/2 hour in advance, we only had to wait about 10 minutes for our car but it did not seem to be a busy time when we checked out. The staff we interacted with were efficient, courteous and knowledgeable about the area. Check-in and check-out was fast and easy. If you are looking for a 4-5 star hotel, with all the luxury trappings, when visiting NYC then I would suggest looking elsewhere. If you want decent rooms, great location, efficient service at a reasonable (budget) rate then I would heartily suggest The Wellington. You're not going to get anything fancy, but you will get value for your money.

This hotel is in a great location with Central Park, Times Square, Rockefellar Center, etc. all within a few blocks. The hotel itself was seriously outdated. Lobby looked nice enough but once I got off the elevator to go to my room that's where the nice ended. The hallways and the room was like a step back in time and not in a good way. Everything was outdated, the wallpaper, the furniture, the carpeting. The room doors themselves had SEVERAL coats of pain on them and many screw holes from various locks and knobs that had been replaced. The room looked exactly like some of the cheap motels I stayed at traveling with my parents as a kid back in the 70's. The bed reminded me of the old vibrator beds that you had to put quarters in, only it was less comfortable. I didnt expect a whole lot for the price I paid in this area of NYC but I didn't expect it to be that bad. Pay extra and stay somewhere else!
