Great location, freindly staff but, it's an old hotel. My room was small. The bathroom was EXTRA small and outdated. There was no therostat in the room so you cannot control the heat/cooling. My room was hot and the only way to cool it was to open the window. So that cooled the room somewhat, but the street noise so loud, I couln't sleep.

Our room was on the small side but typical of a NYC hotel room. We experienced issues with the heat on the first night of our stay, but a call to the front desk prompted a visit of a maintenance tech within 15-20 minutes. The tech explained that the heating system was steam forced and that it ran in batches. When the heat was running, it got quite warm in the room, but leaving a window open in December rectified that situation. Accomodations were average but clean. Good deal for the money.

I've stayed at this hotel several times. I've had friends stay there, as well. It's a pretty good value and, since I'm a theater freak, it's in a great location for the activities that I like!
