I have stayed here twice. The common areas are not luxurious, but the rooms are quite good, location is superb, and the price is unbeatable. Only dined there for breakfast, and that was quite good. Staff is very friendly. Exercise room is ok. Also on both trips, I arrived very early in the day and each time my room was already available, even though I had not requested early arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The old elevator had to be run by someone on the staff, so we usually had to wait a little longer than normal. This hotel was within walking distance of the White House and all of the DC landmarks. We felt that the location and quaintness made this a good spot for us. If you want to feel like you stepped back in time, this nice historic hotel might be the place for you.

This hotel was in a great location and was withing walking distance of the white house, the Lincoln memorial, Vietnam war memorial, and the Korean war memorial. We did make the whole walk to the capital and back, but it was certainly a long walk and took the whole day stopping along the way at the Smithsonian museums, the Washington Monument and the WWII memorial. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the food was wonderful. the rooms were very spacious and they had an old fashioned elevator that was unfortunately being replaced by an standard one. Very disappointing, but was wonderful to visit with the elevator operators as we rode to our rooms.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lombardy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When we had a problem with the Internet connection in our room which could not be fixed quickly they moved us to a new room. Very comfortable beds with high quality linens. Great bar for a late night drink and excellent dinners in the restaurant. The location was very convenient. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance.
