Yes, it's a lttle old. But, for the price I paid, easy to deal with. My family liked the charm. Rooms clean. Beds a little hard. Conviently located for San Diego attractions. Breakfast was yummy. And, FREE PARKING! Would stay again.

The stay was a bit disapointing this time around. We stayed 6 nights and had to change rooms due to plumbing problems but received complimentary breakfast for our inconvienience. Overall, the staff was courteous and helpful but one employee was extremely unprofessional toward her peers and spoke loudly about anticipating to be fired that day. Also, I strongly suspect a small hair clip was taken from our room by the housekeeper. Finally, the spa and pool were cold for the first 3 days of our stay before they cleared a clog which got the heater working again. As I said this was our 2nd stay at the hotel, next time we will try another in the "hotel circle" as there were a few too many problems for one stay.

The room, two queen room, was perfect for the occasion. We actually booked two rooms and they were adjoined, which was wonderful. The room was clean, well set up and ready for anything. Convention at the same time and was warned from the get go there would be parking issues, which turned out to be less than anticipated, the heads up made it easier to deal with. My only hesitation was the service at the Waffle Spot. We had intended to eat there every day but one of our four day stay, unfortunately, we were treated so poorly on day one, that we were hesitant to attend on day two. We tried one more time, and were served drinks and then ignored for 25 minutes, no other order was taken, while at the same time there were four of the ladies at the front register chatting, we paid for our drinks and left to attend another restaurant and did not return. We had not even used our discount or kids coupons, we paid full price and tipped heavily and were still treated like we were not welcome. We had similar experience the last time we visited this hotel. Hotel was great, Waffle spot, not so much. Food is good, service, especially the blond woman, was not great at all. Sour disposition.
