For touring Boston you can not beat the location. The lobby and restaurants and food were fabulouos. They have THE BEST lobster roll in the city. The bar is great, good service. The only negative was the rooms are very small. It felt crowded for 2 people. And the bed truly is a double bed, not a queen or king. It was comfortable but very small. I would still stay there again.

The rooms were pretty small, but thankfully I was forewarned of that. The beds were extremely comfortable! Pleasant surprise! Bathrobes provided were nice, although was a little surprised they weren't taken to be washed when left out. Maid service was completed despite putting out the Privacy card on our first day while we were out, which i didn't really like. The concierge was helpful in answering questions about the transportation and providing maps. Since it was pouring one day, we were able to grab an umbrella from the front desk but it turned out to be broken, so we had to buy another from CVS, which thankfully was right down the street. Great location, easy walk from the T, smack dab in the middle of the freedom trail. We walked out to the Prudential building one day, and up to the USS Constitution the next with ease. Fanueil Hall was a quick walk as was Union Street. Plenty of food within walking distance (two Dunkin Donuts between the hotel and the T, within a two block radius!).

I was amazed of how small the rooms were could not hold two people comfortable and I had three in my party. The bathroom was in a corner of the very small room. Only one person at a time could barly fit in the bathroom. The room did not look or feel clean. Staff very helpful .

My wife and T stayed 2 nights, mid-week. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. 2 examples: on check-in, scheduled room wasn't ready - we were offered another with the chance to look at both before deciding; had a problem with wi-fi connection - tech was there within 5 min to fix. King room comfy, if a bit small; we didn't spend our Boston time in the room. Lots of pubs in the area with good food. Great location - 1 block from Gov Ctr T sta, 2 from State St. Easy walk to Aquarium, Quincy Mkt and Common. Last Hurrah bar in lobby was a good place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Hotel has JFK history and is on Freedom Trail. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Deals can be had on room rates.

the ONLY thing going for this hotel was the location...apparently Jackie and JFK got engaged here and it is old(150 years) but hard to care about that when the place is VERY noisy and the mattresses are terrible...could not sleep. Close to lots of attractions and 2 different "T" stations, some great restaurants.
