the only down fall? i found that the parking was a bit expensive your only option being in downtown was to valet the car, very quick and prompt but on top of the already expensize hotel it adds up. Beautiful Hotel! would be nice if they offered a complimentary breakfast snack of some kind. All in all great location if you plan on walking around. Dont expect any great views, my view was a brick building and a awoke to the sound of dumpsters being unloaded, But again your in a city its to be expected

They gave us the furthest room in the floor actually, and the room right across the some sort of cleaning room, in the morning they open and close the door almost 100 times and it make that unbearable sound! by the way they charge internet for $10 everyday and for every one your device!

Overall, this is a nice hotel - the location is great, within walking distance of so many things, the service is good, and everything was clean. The rooms were a little on the small side, but it is an older hotel. The lobby is beautiful. There are breakfast places nearby, but it'd be nice to have a good cup of (free# coffee in the morning #I'm not including the kind you make in your room - ugh!) I was really disappointed to see that our room did not have a tub, as I really enjoy a soak in the tub after a long day of sightseeing. Instead, we had a really small shower. The shower, and bathroom in general, had NOWHERE to put your things. There was no counter space, just a pedestal sink, and the only shelving had the towels on it. Another shelf, left empty, would be great. You know, people do bring things with them when they travel. I'm fairly young and limber, but who wants to reach down to the floor to get your deodorant every day? I have stayed in several historic hotels, this one is beautiful and in a great location, but I really missed some of the features that would appeal to a modern traveler!

Great location, right along the freedom trail. Nice breakfast buffet and good bars inside hotel. The hotel has great history as well as modern facilities (fitness room was one of the best I've seen in a hotel). We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend it to anyone for business or pleasure trips.

Our 2 night weekend stay was great! Wonderful grand old hotel that is up to date in style and furnishings, clean and comfortable, and has a great history behind it. It has a great location for downtown Boston, close to a lot of sites of historical importance as well as restaurants and theaters. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant has great food and atmosphere, and the Boston cream pie is fabulous. Highly recommended.
