When my husband and I were looking at hotels in the San Diego area we were not sure we really wanted to stay in the Pacific Beach area. We had lived there in college and could not imagine that there would be a hotel that was up to our current standards in the area. We initially booked only 2 nights just to give the place a try. We were assuming that we would be staying at Lowes Coronado for the remainder of our vacation. We had stayed several nights at the La Costa Spa prior the cheking in at the Pacific Terrace. (We were not at all impressed with the La Costa Spa,,dirty and old) We were very surprised with the Pacific Terrace. The staff was awesome. The hotel had been recently remodeled and looked great. The pool was heated and right on the boardwalk. The kids loved it. They had a happy hour/wine tasting every afternoon. (It was free) They had a very , very nice breakfast available every morning. (It was free) We ended up cancelling our other reservations and stayed at the Pacific Terrace for about 8 nights. We will absolutely stay there again. Several of our old friends who still live in the area stopped by to hang out and are planning little weekend getaways even though they live within 30 min. of the hotel. Overall....we were very pleased with this place and highly recommend it. Good for romantic or family trips in our opinion. The place was not overrun with kids. Walking distance to lots of good bars and restaurants.

We checked in - they only had one room without a patio - I complained - they moved us by 1 the next day, the rooms were large and very well decorated. The staff went out of their to help, free coffee, lemonaide and ice tea all day long. At 4 there is wine at the pool. I loved this place and would not stay anywhere else. It was located on the water, the area was safe and you could walk to some reastarauts. This was the best hotel I ever stayed at - I am 51.

The rooms were spacious, staff courteous, view (the ocean is about 300 yards from the hotel) awesome! We stayed for 3 days for our honeymoon. The price was about the max for us but it was well worth it. It's also 2 blocks away from "Pacific Beach" where the night life is fun. Everything at this hotel was what I expected and I would recomend it to anyone.

We found this hotel from a long internet search and reading hundreds of guest reviews on various sites. This hotel was more than our expectations. The staff was very polite and helpful. Yes, there is a fee for parking, but the valet service is free. But to offset that price, you receive a free breakfast. There is every type of oatmeal & cereal available. Fruit, yogurt, breakfast sweets and bagels. Everything except eggs and pancakes. In addition, there is free coffee, ice tea and lemonade throughout the entire day. In the evening there is a wine reception, free and cookies for the kids, free
The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very clean and beautiful. Even the non-view rooms were nice. The pool area was clean and had many tables for sitting and eating breakfast. The hotel was quiet in the evening, no traffic noise. The room amenities were spa quality and there is a turn down service with slippers and chocolate.
The hotel is directly on the beach and boardwalk. There are many nice restuarants walking distance from the hotel. Jordans is excelllent choice with ocean view.
My kids ages 11 and 14 enjoyed the free hot cocoa and cookies every day. They also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. They were able to stay in the room while my husband and I went to Jordan's for dinner and the area and hotel were very safe. Jordan's is 1 block from the hotel.
I had a spa massage and it was heavenly. I would defintiely recommend this hotel. -
NICE PLACE
08/01/2007Nice room, nice staff, shops close by. would recommend this hotel. it's a bit expensive but we expected that being right on the beach.
NICE ROOM, NICE STAFF, SHOPS CLOSE BY. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. IT'S A BIT EXPENSIVE BUT WE EXPECTED THAT BEING RIGHT ON THE BEACH.
