Staff was great. Room was always made up by the time we returned for the day. Hotel is 30 feet from 103 St subway station and 15 minute walk to Columbia University. Room is very small. Main bedroom only 2 feet of space next to the regular size bed. No desk or chair. Window faces another window 10 feet away. Bathroom also pretty small, with just a sink, toilet, and shower. A medicine cabinet would have been nice to add storage space. Room was smaller than a cabin on cruise ships. No WiFi in room.

I felt comfortable and safe while staying at this hotel
03/01/2013Close to a lot of shopping centers, public transportation, and restaurants. i only have one complaint, the rooms lack heat. they issued portable heaters which made my stay very comfortable.

Room small but confortable and very clean. Staff very nice and helpfull. Marie, the front desk lady, was so kind to print for me vouchers for my return tickets. I've apprecciate it very much. Closed to good restaurants, fast foods rests., pharmacy, grocery store and subway station. In other words, Hotel Makarrech is very well ubicated. Yes, I will stay there in my next trip to Manhattan.

We don't need much, clean room, comfortable bed, near everything and as inexpensive as possible. This hotel filled the bill perfectly and while it's not the Ritz by any means, it is a great deal for budget minded travelersThe.staff.were far better than I could ask for, very helpful. We will certainly go there again.
