Important Hotel Information
- Guests must be 21 years of age or older in order to check-in to the hotel. Proper ID is required at check-in.
- Pool Hours are 8am to 5pm daily, weather permitting.
- A credit card or cash deposit is required at time of check-in; credit cards will be subject to a 100.00 nightly authorization and cash users will be subject to 200.00 nightly. Please note the hotel does not offer any rolloways.
- An early departure fee of 50 percent of the rooms value, will be charged to that individuals account.
- 100 per day incidental fee is required upon check in.
- Valet parking is 34.00 per day.

Very helpful and nice lobby staff. They were quick to check us in. Rooms where very modern and comfortable. A/C is very cold, great for the Miami weather. Location is a plus. Parking is the only hassel. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay in it again. Thanks.

Great hotel, great price and great location. Beds and rooms were very comfortable. Staff was super friendly and helpful. One block from the beach and everything that is South Beach. Definitely plan to stay here again! We had a few minor issues but nothing that would prevent us from staying again. We were told that we couldn't have "outside" alcohol while lounging on the patio which once you buy a beer from the bar you'll understand why we tried this. It was also a tad noise at the hotel sits right next to the Clevelander which is very busy and boisturous! Other than that great joint

I really enjoyed my time at the Essex House Hotel and Suites. My room was nice and clean and offered all of the basic necessities. My only complaint about the room was that the tv's color was off, but I didn't spend that much time in my room, so I wasn't worried. The hotel consists of three floors of rooms and suites. The elevator is kind of small, it can only hold three people at a time, but you can just as easily take the stairs if necessary. The hotel itself is in an incredible location - one block away from the beach and Ocean Drive. There are numerous restaurants and stores you can choose from on Ocean Drive, but be warned that they can be kind of expensive if you're not careful. If you're interested in more inexpensive dining, just go one block in the opposite direction to Washington Avenue. There you will find plenty of restaurants, shops, drug stores, and pretty much anything else you need. I would highly recommend staying at the Essex House if you are on a budget, but still want to enjoy the ambiance of South Beach. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. By the time I left, I felt like I was leaving friends behind. Directly outside of the hotel there is a small, 4-foot pool. It's not really large enough to do laps, but if you just want to lounge, it's great. Each night, the Essex House hosts a happy hour where you can order drinks and food items. Throughout the lobby and the covered deck area, there are flat screen tvs so you can watch the game or other shows. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Miami!
