It's an older hotel but has been very well taken care of. The location is great, walking distance to many great features in Chicago. Only thing I found to be a bit sketchy was the parking. The parking staff wasn't very friendly nor did they seem to care about your vehicle.

This is a classic old hotel, lots of style and architecture. Comfortable rooms with a nice view of the park. Very quiet, solid walls. Cable TV was inadequate - few channels (but we weren't in Chicago to watch TV). Frustrating that they charge extra for internet access - but Starbucks and Panera Bread are nearby for free wifi. We would stay here again.

I requested a smoking room with my reservation and they put us in a non smoking room and then we had to move rooms. when you specifically ask for something it would be good to have it done and not have to make sure at check in that the room you are given is right. Also the parking information was incorrect. It was a great inconvience. Also the new room was not nearly as nice. There were mice in the walls and the people on either side were very noisy and we could hear everything through the walls.

The hotel was old and not renovated. The room we stayed in was cold and the heating unit was blew out cold air. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak. The bathroom needed to be updated and was very old. There were no garbage bags in the trash containers... on either of the days that the room was cleaned, none were placed. I was deeply dis-satified with my stay here and do not recommend it to anyone.
