    The hotel was fantastic and had a great location right by the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great and a nice added bonus along with the beach chairs and towels. The last day we were there our flight wasn't until later in the evening and the staff held our bags and gave us a place to shower and change before going to the airport, it was greatly appreciated. I would recommend this hotel and definitely go back if ever in South Beach again.

    I was very disappointed with this hotel. The first day, our room was not cleaned. I called the front desk, and from that point on we did have daily maid service. The room was small and the bathroom even smaller. The parking was a nightmare. I had to drive around the block several times just to be able to give my car to the valet! On Sunday, there was a parade and I could not even get to the hotel. I had to park several blocks away and walk to the hotel, only to retrieve my car later. Note that I did Valet park- this did not ease the frustration! The wonderful bath amenities mentioned in many of the reviews were only for the first day, after that cheap hotel stuff! I didn't bring my own because of the reviews...wish I had!

    I'm not sure why so many complained about this hotel, we had a great time there. Breakfast included was very good and saved us at least $20-25 per day. This is right where all the action is and all you have to do is walk across the street to go to the beach. Room was very nice although a little small with the king size bed. Desk provided us with a baby crib and were very pleasant.

    I enjoyed this hotel and especially the included breakfast made to order. The room was chic but the restroom was very cramped and ill suited to large/tall people. The decor was nice and the condition was decent enough. Perfect beach hotel for an average price.

    My hotel stay at the Beacon Hotel was very enjoyable. Being that it is located right on Ocean Drive and next to the Colony Hotel, it is right in the mix of things. We were placed on the 5th floor and to the rear. Didn't hear any noise at all from the street. This place is Art Deco all the way and has a very classy feel to it. The staff at the front door and counter were so nice and made us feel very welcome. Don't usually get that at a hotel. The vibe was very laid back. The room was extremely clean and that is the first thing I look at it. The bathroom was small, however that is normal for all these Art Deco hotels due to age. It was totally remodeled and looked brand new tho. The A/C worked great. I liked the fact that the room had a ceiling fan and wood flooring. The hotel room includes robes, chairs to take down to the beach, and beach towels. Also, the fridge is loaded with alcohol and there is a cabinet with misc items, plus a price menu. Throughout the hotel you will find vintage posters of the hotel and Art Deco decor. There are 2 lounges and also a bar near the front counter. A complimentary breakfast is included every morning at the sidewalk restaurant located out in front. It was good food. My friend and I enjoyed our stay here at the hotel. Definitely would recommend it. The wireless Internet worked great with no issues.
