I had meetings to attend in the upper east side and this hotel (which I had never heard of) was more reasonably priced than nicer hotels in NYC. It is not near a subway stop but the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had to print out something for a presentation I was doing and they let me use the hotel computers at no cost. The room I had was large and nicely designed. The restaurant was on the top floor in a nice space with great views, however, the menu was very limited in choice.

The Bentley Hotel is a cute, little boutique style hotel on the Upper East Side. I traveled to NY the first week of February so the rate was very affordable. The location was perfect for me as I have family members that live just a mile north of the hotel and there were plenty of restaurants, shops & the Food Emporium close by. The staff was helpful with anything I needed whether it was directions, restaurant recommendations or arranging a car service to La Guardia Airport. There are only 12 rooms per floor so you definitely get a European hotel feel when you step out of the elevator. My room was on the 3rd floor so there were some unattractive air conditioning units and signs from the adjacent building that were distracting but it's NY so I wasn't in the room that much. (I will request a higher floor in the future though!) Walking to the subway line on Lexington takes just a few minutes and the Met, Central Park, the UN, Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center are a nice walk away. There are plenty of cabs on York Avenue any hour of the day so public transport is no problem. The location is in a nice area even though it is close to a fwy and I always felt safe. I have already recommended the Bentley to friends and family.

Bentley Hotel is a very clean, modern hotel, with great location. The front desk staff was friendly, and helpful. There's a nice bar on the roof. However, it closes early. They should keep it open later especially on Saturday nights, when most places open later.

Once again this hotel proved a great value for the money. Rooms are clean, and tastefully decorated-very boutique like. Flat screen tvs and very comfortable beds. The best part is the staff who are so friendly and helpful holding the door open every time and asking if you need a cab or directions. The rooftop bar/restaurant is gorgeous. The view of the city is spectacular from there no matter where you sit, and there are outside tables for summer months. The subway is a few blocks but hey it's nyc and you do some walking - otherwise take a cab. Highly recommend this hotel if you like the upper eastside which is far less crowded than midtown area.

The hotel is really clean and the staff is really nice. The location is ok. You have to walk 10min to the nearest subway. The subway is you lifeline in New York or you can take cabs everywhere. From outside the hotel looks ok. There is a gas station right next to the hotel. I didn't like that.
