This is my 2nd time at the South Seas, the last time was in 2002 and the both times I had a very comfortable stay. I know some people feel the rooms are small but it is a small hotel and build in the 30's and are Art Deco Landmarks, so yes the rooms are small. But are very well kept, all rooms are smoke free so for non smokers it is great very comfortable beds and I suffer with a bad back so it was great Flat Panel TV and radio with IP dock was great. The complementary toiletries where also a great plus as well and the entire staff was excellent. Oh did I mention the free breakfast from 7 - 10:30, simple but good buffet style and you can eat as much as you like and I even took some fruit and yogurt with me for later in the day. The pool is a great place to relax, but the beach is the place to go and enjoy the blue waters of FL.

Front desk was always very helpful and was all the staff. Room was clean. Pool was a good size. Bartenders were wonderful. The location was awesome. Beach was right out the back. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Rooms were small. There was little room to move around and only three drawers to put clothes.

The hotel was great and the staff was very helpful. Especially one of the bartenders from the hotel restaurant/bar during the day. She was very helpful and accomodating. She recommended a this great greek restaurant to us which made our trip (Taverna Opa). The staff are what make a hotel a great place to stay.

Stayed 4 days 3 nights at South Seas. Best deal of all hotels on collins avenue located right on the beach. Hotel also has a pool with lounge chairs, excellent restaurant and free breakfast every morning. Rooms are small. Stayed in 2 double beds and the bathroom is even smaller. Think of the powder room in your home with a shower and tub placed in there. It was doable. Comfortable, not noisy and courteous staff. Located on collins ave which i call hotel row because all these hotels are on this street sandwiched next to each other. This is the best deal for the price and convenient to all the popular hot spots (lincoln rd, ocean drive) Would stay again.
