Important Hotel Information
- Please be informed that the hotels swimming pool will be closed from December 10th to December 20th 2012 for renovation. The pool repair will not cause any major noise and safety barricades will be properly placed so as not to disturb our guests.
- The Marseilles Hotel pool located next door will be available to serve all our guests so they can still enjoy sunbathing and swimming during their visit.

While this hotel rates itself 4 star, one has to put that in the context of South Beach properties. I have generally found that so-called 4 star hotels in South Beach would be rated 3 star almost anywhere else. And that is true of South Seas as well, in particular regard to the standard room size and furnishings. The pool area is nice enough, though. But it is way overpriced for its rooms and facilities.

the entire hotel smelled like mold, and our room was even worse. the mold smell was so strong, we couldn't sleep and were up coughing the entire night. there was visible mold on the curtains. when we spoke to the front desk manager, she said she didn't smell anything and no one else complained about it ever before! what a liar! she offered to move our room, we went to check out the other room and not only did it smell like mold, but it also reeked of paint as if they just repainted it to try and cover up the mold smell! the manager also said if we really have a problem, we could stay somewhere else! how rude!

Stayed December 8 - 15 2010. This is the forth time we stayed at the South Seas. The hotal is a good value for the money considering the great location and the friendly service. The small restaurant has great food at a reasonable price. Definately will stay at the South Seas the next time Im in Miami.

The hotel was not that bad. The first room they gave us was on the street and we knew that all the street noise would keep us awake so we called down stairs to change rooms. The front desk was helpful and got us another room immedatly. After changing rooms we went down stairs and laid in the hotel hammocks. They were very comfurtable and relaxing. Later that night we found out that our bed in the room was the firmest most uncomfurtable bed ever. Both my wife and i tossed and turned most of the night and could not beleve how bad the bed was. In the morning we both had sore backs. I think we would have done better by sleeping on the floor. I don't think we will ever come back here. I would have been more comfurtable sleeping in my car.

Property was nice, had a nice pool area with beach access, hammocks and a good area to take in the sun. The room was very clean and had just enough space for 4 people. The fact that they had valet service but no spaces bothered me. We had to park in a public parking lot 4 blocks away.No fun for the weary traveler. Check in early or DO NOT GO during a holiday event. Bathroom was a bit too small.
