Hotel is in an excellent location. Beautiful pool and great service. Only complaint was the noise from the street - which is to be expected on Bourbon Street, I just didn't really think it would be that bad - and my room was on a side street. Otherwise excellent experience, but will likely stay somewhere else next time, a block or two off Bourbon Street.

This is a beautiful hotel at the perfect location in New Orleans. We ran into some minor gliches.Two out of the three times we ordered room service they had our order incorrect and did not have a record of what time we wanted room service delivered. The staff was very apologetic and accomodating. The room was clean well laid out. The only drawbacks are that there is no in room coffee pot or blowdryer. Overall the room, hotel, pool and lounge area was very nice. Some of the best jazz the town has to offer can be heard every evening in the hotel lounge.

The Royal Sonesta only gets better and better. Front desk staff and concierge ;Russell; are helpful, knowledgeable. Management continues to make improvements to the facility, dining experiences, and overall experience. I've stayed at several French Quarter and Central Business District hotels, and the Royal Sonesta is head and shoulders better than other hotels in the area. Fitness Center is small, but functional, clean, with fresh towels and water.

Although we are from Louisiana we love New Orleans and chose to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in the city. The Hotel is close to everything in french quarter. Staff was courteous and helpful. Relatively quiet even with a balcony over Bourbon Street. The Desire restaurant had exceptional food and good prices. The room and bathroom were clean except the bathroom tub/shower had some areas of mildrew/mold which were most obvious while tkaing a bath to soak my tired feet. Great place to stay.

We just got back last night, after a 3 night stay at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. We were very happy with our stay. You cannot neat the location of the Sonesta. It's right on Bourban St. If the partying outside is too much for you. Once you just step inside the lobby of the hotel, it quiets right down. The staff was very polite and the rooms very very clean. The beds were very comfortable. It has a very nice lounge with a band playing jazz music nightly. We never did get a chance to eat at the hotel. As, we were always out experiencing other restaurants.
