Pros: the staff were very friendly checking us in, beautiful view, nice heated pool with jacuzzi. Cons: you have 2 choices on parking- $22 per night for self parking or $30 per night for valet parking. There is no wifi in the rooms, just hard wire which costs a fee. However there is wifi in the lobby with an hour limit. This hotel is right by the airport. You will hear airplanes all day and night. Overall, a nice clean hotel, but I'm trying a new hotel when I go back that is away from the airport and has less hidden fees.

My stay in San Diego was really made special because of the staff of this hotel. Thay were very nice, helpful with my questions, knowledgeable about the attractions in the San Diego area and smiles all around. The room was great, beautiful view of the harbor, and the bed was very comfortable. I'll be back in the San Diego area in the spring and I'll stay here again. This was first trip to the west coast in my life, 57 years old, and I live in Maryland. Keep up the good work and I'll see you in the spring.

All in all, my stay was fine. Everything was mostly clean. It did take a few days for housekeeping to pick up room service dishes in the hallway. The food was good. Each day that I did not use room service, I either received a $5 voucher to use towards food and drink at the hotel, or I could also accumulate Starpoints. It was nice that we could use vouchers for $5 off my food. I was there over the Thanksgiving holiday, and the service was slow. There are two towers to the hotel, and the tower that I stayed in only had 1 computer. Sometimes the internet would be super slow. I always had to go to the other tower to use the internet. If I wanted to go downtown, it was around a 3 mile walk. The front desk staff was mostly nice. However, there was never a concierge at our tower. I always had to go to the Marina Tower if I wanted to book any tours, etc.

This hotel was great. Very clean. I am very very picky about things being clean.

The Sheraton San Diego was located on the marina and near the airport. The hotel has two towers – the Bay tower and the Marina tower. The Bay tower has larger rooms compared to the Marina tower. There is free WiFi internet in the lobby’s, but not in the rooms. Both towers have restaurants with reasonably priced menus. Unfortunately there is not much to do within walking distance. Walking into downtown is a 3 mile walk along the bay. This is a great hotel with comfy beds. I would recommend it to my family and friends.
