I stayed here on Sept 11 and 12, 2008. The staff was the highlight of the stay. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, courteous and helpful. Room was clean and well kept up. Air conditioning was a bit touchy but otherwise no complaints. The food was just okay, but there are plenty of other options in the area. I will definitely book there again when in Atlanta.

We booked the room last minute for the weekend of a major convention, so I guess I should have expected the worst. It was an ADA accessible room, which had no room for toiletries near the sink and a mirror hung so low that I couldn't see past my chin. I understand it was meant for someone in a wheelchair but if they're booking the room for general use, a taller mirror would have been helpful. It also had a locker room style shower with the drain flush with the bathroom floor and a fold out seat. The drain turned out to be clogged and ended up filling the bathroom (and soaking the carpet near the bathroom) with water when we took the first shower. The 4 towels in the room didn't even begin to soak up the water. The bed was the most uncomfortable that I've ever slept on and the loveseat in the room was even worse. The staff, with one notable exception, projected a ""we couldn't care less"" attitude. There was no apology for the mess the clogged drain caused and when we got back to the room, the carpeting was still soaking wet. It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, (it was at least clean, if very small) but since the Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton are all only a block away, I'd suggest trying one of them first and only use the Sheraton as a last resort.

My friends and I love this hotel. The staffs, from the valet boys to the hotel shuttle guys to the ""engineer"" were very friendly and accomodating. The pool was beautiful and yes, the pool roof does slide open when the weather permits. I used the gym and the equipments were pretty new, they have 2 restaurants, Collage and Fandangle (beautifully decorated), and a 24 Deli (a bit pricey but convenient). We had a positive experience and by the end of the trip, we practically knew all of the staff by name! Will stay again.

I got to the hotel for my 5 night stay with a splitting headache and waited 15 minutes to check in (3 in line) at 4:30 pm. My reservations were for a one king traditional room. Staff said they were packed and could not give me what I reserved. First room I got was a one king handicap room right next to expansion joint on parking ramp--very loud booming sound whenever cars would drive over it--not good for headache. I went back to check-in, waited and asked for room away from the parking ramp, got the same line of being overbooked, and got a two double bed handicap room. I stayed the first night in room and in the morning found out it had no tub-shower and no counter in bathroom. This was not what I wanted to stay in for 4 more nights. At 12 p.m. I went (waited) at check-in to request the room I reserved, told none were available and to come back in about an hour. Did this 3 more times, until I spoke with manager, and finally got one king traditional room (with tub-shower and countertop in bathroom). I felt better that I got a room I could feel somewhat comfortable in, but could not believe what it took to get what I reserved. None of these rooms were anything to write home about. The handicap rooms seemed awkward, at best. Had one outdoor patio end table and wall-mount sink in handicap room and had to close out-swinging bathroom door to get to bed area. All rooms looked worn and dirty. Linens and towels were worn and old. Certain staff members were not helpful or friendly at all. Hotel is located 3 blocks from Marta-downtown, 2 blocks of which are a steep hill.

We stopped in Atlanta for the first evening of our 2 day drive to DisneyWorld. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff very helpful, and the night veiw of city from our room was very nice. The self service laundry room downstairs by the fitness room came in very handy with messy children. Being able to workout and take a dip in the gorgeous pool before being cramped up in a minivan again for hours was priceless! The hotel is in an excellent location right off the interstate. Only bad part is that you must pay for parking between $ and $. This is true for everywhere in downtown Atlanta, though.
